Prithima is a MS Candidate in Enterprise Risk Management at Columbia University School of Professional Studies and she also holds a degree in Corporate- Management of Finance and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering. She also holds a Grade certificate in Bharathanatyam, an Indian classical dance which she learnt from age four.She has also worked as a Business consultant across North America and has been awarded with accolades like “Above and Beyond”, “You make the difference” to name a few. She has won winners title twice at the Inter-Engineering college Zonal Chess Tournament and has represented the Zone X at the state level.
She is passionate about Volunteering her time for a noble cause and Organizing events since her childhood. When she is not sweating over her books she will be sweating it out at the gym.She enjoys Painting,Cooking and of course eating.She is also a Women’s International Leadership fellow at International House -NYC.
School of Engineering and Applied Science
Abhilash is a 2nd year Masters candidate in the Management Science and Engineering program at SEAS. He's a tech geek and business mind rolled into one and has founded 3 startups to date. Outside of school, he is an actor and has been in over 70 plays and has had the lovely opportunity to direct 12 others. He is also a chocolate milkshake connoisseur has also spent the past year hunting down the best milkshake in New York - hit him up for his list!
Teachers College
Sarah is a student at Teachers College pursuing her Masters in Higher and Postsecondary Education. She is also working as a Graduate Assistant at the Undergraduate Student Life. Prior to pursuing her Masters, she went to Union College and majored in Economics and Political Science.
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
Nick is a Systems Biology PhD Candidate at Columbia University Medical Center. He is working in the lab of Dr. Nicholas Tatonetti, investigating adverse drug events in children and their putative molecular mechanisms. Before starting the PhD program in 2016, he was a bioinformatician at the National Human Genome Research Institute, and previously received his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester. Nick is also a president of Health Tech Assembly, president of the CUIMC Data Science Club, and co-organizer of the New York Health Artificial Intelligence Meetup in NYC. Nick enjoys breaking a sweat as much as he enjoys programming during his free time.
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
Sarah is a PhD candidate in the Genetics and Development department at the Columbia University Medical Center. She is currently in the lab of Dr. Alberto Ciccia working on genome instability in BRCA-deficient cells. She loves planning events and has been the Social chair of the Graduate Student Advisory Council for two-years and the President for one year.
